If you do have a valid prescription for contact lenses (and assuming you live in the US), you can get free samples of contact lenses sent to you. All you have to do is go to the websites of contact lens companies, find the free trial offers and then fill out the forms. Download and print what you get after you fill out the form and see what the terms of each deal are. A prescription is valid if it has been a year or less since the last prescription. Sometimes you have to take the certificate you get in to your eye doctor for them to order. So if it has been less than a year, then you should not need to get an eye exam. Otherwise, you’ll have to do that, which is something you do have to pay for.
